This concert features the music of the Underground Railroad inspired by early African Americans. There
will be narratives throughout the program explaining how the words of
the songs contained hidden messages that aided the slaves in navigating
their way north to Canada (heaven), and safety. As you may know, Fort Erie was a
terminus of the Underground Railroad and in fact St. Pauls Anglican
Church now occupies the land where once stood a safe house for the
escaping slaves.David Braun will be making his first appearance as Artistic Director of Choralis Camerata.We are excited to introduce him to you.
